    Thank you for choosing to be part of Nagorik Technologies Ltd. doing business as Quizee ("Quizee", "we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.     When you use our website quizee.pro and/or our mobile applications, features, and related services (collectively, the "App/Services"), you trust us with your information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we explain what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. If you do not agree with any part of this notice, please discontinue use of our Services immediately.

    This privacy notice applies to all information collected through our App/Services (including any related websites), as well as any related services, sales, marketing, or events.

  • 1) WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

    A. Personal information you disclose to us

    In short: We collect personal information you provide.

    We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for an account, participate in activities (e.g., quizzes, tournaments), request information, contact support, or otherwise interact with Quizee. The information we collect depends on the context, choices you make, and features you use. It may include:

    • Name:

      First and last name (used for profile, leaderboards, finding friends, and challenges). We do not sell or share names for third‑party marketing.

    • Email address:

      Used for account access, verification, and support. We do not sell or share for third‑party marketing.

    • Phone number:

      Used for OTP login and as your user identifier. We do not sell or share for third‑party marketing.

    • SMS/MMS (OTP autofill):

      With your permission, we may read the OTP message we send to auto‑fill the code for login. We do not access other messages and do not share OTPs with third parties.

    • Profile photo/image:

      If you upload one, we use it for your profile and to help friends identify you.

    • Contact list (with permission):

      Used to discover friends already on Quizee so you can connect and challenge them.

    • Credentials and account details:

      Username, password (stored using industry‑standard hashing), and authentication data.

    • Payment data:

      If you make purchases, we collect necessary details to process the payment (e.g., payment instrument details) via our payment processors. Sensitive card data is handled by PCI‑compliant providers.

    • Business/optional details:

      If you use any business‑facing features, we may collect business name, address, and related fields (only if you provide them).

    • Social media login data:

      If you choose to register or sign in using social accounts (e.g., Google/Facebook), we collect the information described in Section 6 (How do we handle your social logins?).

    All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate. Please notify us of any changes.

    B. Information automatically collected

    In short: Some data—like your IP address and device info—is collected automatically for security, performance, and analytics.

    When you visit, use, or navigate the Services, we automatically collect certain non‑identifying device and usage information, including:

    • Log & usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, language, referring URLs, pages viewed, feature use, timestamps, diagnostics, crash/error reports, and performance metrics.
    • Device data: Device type, model, operating system, mobile carrier/ISP, app version, and system configuration.
    • Location data: Approximate or precise location (depending on your device settings and permissions). You can disable location permissions, but some features may be limited.
    • Cookies/SDKs and similar technologies: Used for authentication, preferences, analytics, and performance. See Section 5 (Cookies & similar tech).
    C. Information collected from other sources

    In short: We may receive limited data from public databases, partners, and social platforms to improve records, security, and marketing (as permitted by law).

    Sources may include: public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, data providers, and social media platforms. Typical data may include names, emails, phone numbers, IPs, social profile links, and campaign/intent data.

  • 2) HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

    In short: We process data to provide and improve Services, perform contracts, comply with laws, protect rights, and—with your consent—send communications.

    Typical purposes and legal bases include:

    • Account creation & log‑in (incl. social): perform the contract; your consent.
    • Provide & maintain the Services: operate quizzes, leaderboards, friend discovery/challenges, subscriptions, and purchases.
    • Manage user accounts: keep your account in working order.
    • Feedback & support: respond to requests, troubleshoot, and improve quality.
    • Security & fraud prevention: monitor, detect, investigate, and prevent abuse.
    • Enforce terms & legal compliance: for business purposes and regulatory obligations.
    • Orders & subscriptions: fulfill, manage billing, send receipts, and handle renewals/cancellations.
    • Prize draws & competitions: administer and deliver entries/prizes.
    • Marketing & promotions: send product updates and offers consistent with your preferences (opt‑out anytime).
    • Administrative notices: changes to terms, features, or policies.
    • Personalization & targeted content/ads: improve relevance (where permitted).
    • Analytics & improvements: analyze usage trends to enhance features, performance, and UX. We may aggregate/de‑identify data for research and statistics.
  • 3) WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?

    In short: We share only as needed—with consent, to provide Services, to meet legal obligations, or to protect rights.

    • Consent: When you've given explicit permission.
    • Service providers & processors: Payment processing, hosting, analytics, communication, customer support, anti‑fraud, and similar operations—bound by contracts to protect your data and act only on our instructions.
    • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
    • Affiliates & business partners: To offer or enable certain features, promotions, or joint services.
    • Legal reasons: When required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request; or to protect safety, rights, and property; or to investigate fraud or abuse.

    We do not sell your personal information for third‑party marketing.

  • 4) WHO DO WE SHARE WITH?

    In short: Categories may include (as applicable):

    Ad networks; affiliate programs; cloud hosting; communication tools; analytics; data storage; finance & accounting; order fulfillment; payment processors; performance monitoring; product/dev tools; retargeting platforms; sales & marketing tools; social networks; testing; auth/registration services; website hosting.

  • 5) DO WE USE COOKIES & OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

    In short: Yes. Cookies, mobile SDKs, and similar tech help run authentication, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and improve performance. You can control cookies via your browser/device settings; certain features may not function without them.

  • 6) HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

    In short: If you choose to register or log in with a social account, we receive certain profile data (e.g., name, email, profile photo, and anything you make public). We use this only for account creation, authentication, and related features described in this policy. Your social platform's privacy policy governs their use of your data.

  • 7) IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

    In short: Yes. We are based in Bangladesh and may use cloud infrastructure in other countries. Your data may be processed outside your country. For EEA/UK users, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures) where adequacy decisions are not available.

  • 8) HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

    In short: Only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, unless longer retention is required by law (e.g., tax, accounting, fraud prevention). When no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize your information. If deletion is not immediately possible (e.g., backups), we will securely store and isolate it until deletion is feasible.

  • 9) HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

    In short: We use organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, logging). However, no system is 100% secure. We continuously work to improve our protections.

    In short: Depending on your region (e.g., EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

    • Withdraw marketing consent: Use the unsubscribe link or contact us.
    • Complaints: EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority.
    • Age: Quizee is intended for users 18+ (see also "No Use by Minors" in our Terms).
    • Account deletion: Upon request, we will deactivate/delete your account and information from active systems. We may retain limited data as required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
  • 11) DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC RIGHTS?

    In short: Yes. California residents may request information about disclosures for direct‑marketing purposes ("Shine the Light") and request removal of content posted while under 18 (subject to exceptions). To exercise rights, contact support@nagorik.tech with your request, the email tied to your account, and proof of residency (as applicable). Note: complete deletion from all backups may not be feasible.

    Quizee is intended for individuals 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact support@nagorik.tech so we can take appropriate action.

    In short: Yes. We will update this notice when necessary to remain compliant and transparent. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes may be communicated via the App/Services or by direct notice, where appropriate.
